TERM 3 WEEK 4 ' TEACHERS MARCH UP AUCKLAND'S QUEEN STREET '

Our Principal Karl Vasau delivering a speech in support of the teachers plea for better work conditions!

Our Rowandale staff taking part in the teacher's one day strike.

Approximately 29,000 teachers assembling at the Aotea Centre after the march up Queen Street.

Our children supporting the teachers strike by painting slogans on banners.

Throughout the rest of the week the usual learning continues. Most of our Tumanako students are improving their pacing technique in long distance running.

Lepupa enjoys making three to four rounds of running everyday - well done.

Senituli is happily pacing himself.

Raphael looks forward to this run everyday and his friend Motekiai is taking a break by walking a few metres before he makes another round - great to see you persevering you two!

Learning with our Buddy Class (Tumanako 10) happens every Friday apart from our daily spelling, writing, reading  and mathematics. We are starting our Filipino Visual Art work that is integrated with our study of MYTHS and LEGENDS - well done children!
